Squash Sports in Nigeria - Hall of Fame

The sports of squash has been promoted aggressively in Nigeria, the sport is on the average when it comes to popularity and it is promising to say that it is one of fastest growing sports in the country and has produced some players who have performed in some national and international tournaments and who have made Nigeria rank better. Some of the players or hall of fame include;

Yemisi Olatunji Yemisi Olatunji

Is one of Nigeria best squash players; she is based in Lagos and born in the year 1994 on the 14th of February. She won the women title in the 2017 AGF Abdul-Razaq North Central Invitational Open Squash Classic.

She also played in the Zimbabwe and Namibia Squash Open in 2017 and performed exceedingly well, she also competes in the Calgary Professional Squash Association (PSA) which is a Women’s Championships that was held in Canada 2018 from 8th - 11th of March and she is preparing for other tournaments scheduled for the year.

 

Olufunmilayo Gabriel Olufunmilayo Gabriel

Is another player in the sports of squash, he alongside Yemisi Olatunji won the AGF Abdul-Razaq North Central Invitational Open Squash Classic in the men’s category.

 

Adewale Amao Adewale Amao

Is a male professional squash player from Ilorin, Kwara state Nigeria. Adewale was born on the 12th day of January 1990 in the Ilorin. He has archived the highest ranking in the Professional Squash Association World Tour and he is presently ranking 564 in 2018 PSA World Tour. He was also one of the winners of 2016 Squash Competition which was organised by Police Games in National Stadium, Abuja FCT.

Babatunde AjagbeBabatunde Ajagbe

Babatunde is a Nigeria male squash professional player. He was born on the 25th June 1987 in the town of Abeokuta, Ogun state Nigeria. In December 2014, he achieved 144 as his first ranking figure in the Professional Squash Association World Tour. Recently, he is ranking 324 in the PSA most current World Tour; he lives in the city of Lagos.
